What People Are Saying

This is gorgeous! Love this! This is like a song that Elton John wishes he wrote!

The chorus is beautiful, and so clever without trying too hard to be clever - really flows nicely - love the chord progressions. GREAT song! Who is writing stuff like this out there? No ONE!

Nice piano intro. I like the piano all through actually. Rare to hear a guy and a piano these days! Sounds a bit like Elvis Costello. Particularly the groove of the song and the vocal in the chorus. He's an amazing songwriter, so big compliment! I love the feel in the chorus...great texture, good contrast to the verse.

Singer has a great voice and he uses it well. Harmonies sound great at the end.

A little Beatles-y.

Hey, you've got a nice, precise voice with serious good range. This is a well-constructed song and I like the classical inflections.

Much skill and ambition is on display here. I like how short this is too. That shows a lot of discipline and an ability to listen to that little inner critic, which is a sorely lacking skill in our business...You've got the goods to do something really crazy with your skill and your voice...you're flippin' talented. Go, baby.

Nice grabbing intro. Love the first 30 seconds of this song. I wish people would look to this song as to how to grab the listener and bring them right into the song. Strong bass licks. Clean sound and I like the dropping bass lines. Leslie organ sound comes in nicely without overwhelming. Solo is interestingly good. Really like the structure.

Professional and exciting production that wouldn’t be out of place on a Barenaked Ladies album. I love the mix and particular the ‘handclap’ section brought a smile on my face, which is exactly the mood this song is going for. Throughout the song new things are added and highlighted to keep the listeners attention. A breath of fresh air in a place were people sometimes take themselves a little too serious.

Jump in the water...This tune floats above the waves!

The intro was so brief I barely had time to take a sip of my Zesta Fresca...LOL

The vocals have range, squeak high, squeak low, but squeak on my man...

Nice guitar bridge work, and I like the subtle organ grinder work going on...is there a monkey in your band??

What can I say? You sing this song with soul, guts and just a touch of grit...Two thumbs UP!

This is just brimming with originality! Really great vocals!! The music is really nice as well! The lyrics are very well-written and fluid, but it's the vocals that really make it for me..my god...this guy can really sing! The guitar solo is pretty kicking as well. Overall: really great song writing and great vocals...and to find out you did all the instruments is really amazing. You are truly a talented individual.

I liked the message of the song. Kind of made we wish I wasn’t single for a moment, but then my senses came back to me.

It is not often that you hear a horn section in a pop song, but they were arranged adequately. Nice touch with the cowbell. Good melody and the hook doesn’t leave you wanting anything (except maybe some good lovin’).

This is a nice piece of blues rock lifted to the heights by excellent vocals that almost give me Stevie Winwood-feelings.

I really like the use of the horns at the end of the chorus where they come in and surprise me and give that extra blues-soul touch. I almost miss them in the verse afterwards.

The band plays tight and I like the way the guitars sound. A little dirty vintage rock sound with a basic effective riff. Good dynamics with an extra plus for the bridge to the chorus where the song catches pace and grabs me.

Great take off from the good ol' Rolling Stones with an original sound. Good strong vocals/good strong key, nice octave. Like the lyrics. Nice base from the drums, but not overpowering. Just keeps you going. Wow, what an octave in the vocals. Can understand the words which doesn't always happen today. One of those songs you want to keep in your head. Guitar is complimentary without taking over. Overall super tempo, nothing lagging. Like the keyboards that you hear on occasion. Super band, super vocals.

Yeah, I like it! Arresting, suspenseful intro and great groove when it kicks in... Singer is giving it all. Like the horns! It's very well layered, the piano jumps out only a little bit later which is interesting. Great tone on the guitar solo. The ending is killer and I'd love to see the band live... On the whole a cool song.
